LinkedIn Introducing 3 Fresh Puzzle Titles

LinkedIn is joining the gaming trend. They want to make their platform more interesting for the many people who use it. 

They released three new puzzle games on May 1. These games are Pinpoint, Queens, and Crossclimb. 

People from anywhere can play these games on LinkedIn’s app or website. 

You can find the games in the My Network section on mobile and desktop. Also, you can play them in the LinkedIn News section on desktop.

LinkedIn’s games launch comes after Wordle’s huge success. Many similar games appeared, trying to benefit from the sudden interest in word puzzles.

The success of LinkedIn’s gaming initiative highlights the importance of continuous innovation and collaboration. 

By partnering with renowned creators like Thomas Snyder and involving its user community in game development, LinkedIn demonstrates its commitment to evolving alongside emerging trends and user preferences.

The New York Times saw a big increase in user engagement, time spent, and digital subscriptions after buying Wordle in 2022. This was partly due to their growing games collection.

LinkedIn’s games are about thinking and can be found in the My Network tab on mobile and desktop, as well as in the LinkedIn News section on desktop.

Users can play each game once a day and see if their connections have played too. There are also leaderboards for schools and companies.

How do the games work?

In Pinpoint, there are five words shown. Guess the category they all belong to. You see one word at a time. Try to guess with as few words as possible.

In Queens, like Sudoku, place crowns in a grid. Each row, column, and region can only have one crown. No two crowns can be next to each other. Do this within a time limit.

Crossclimb is a trivia game like a mix of a crossword and a word ladder. Fill in the words using your trivia and word knowledge. Rearrange the words so each one differs by only one letter. This unlocks two final clues to win. 

These games offer challenges and fun for players of all ages. They test your thinking skills and knowledge in different ways. 

Whether you like word games, logic puzzles, or trivia challenges, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. So gather your friends or play solo, and see how well you can do!

Lakshman Somasundaram, who is the director of product management at LinkedIn, explained that they made each game short so people can play during work breaks. These games can help users relax or focus during their busy day.

Pasco makes Pinpoints and Crossclimbs every day. 

The LinkedIn News team will post about the games every day. Users can learn tips, talk to creators, and make new connections.

These games could make users spend more time on LinkedIn and interact more with others. It might also help people reconnect with old friends, Somasundaram noted.
