The cameras are rolling again for Quiet on Set. A fifth episode of the popular docuseries is set to air on ID and stream on Max this Sunday, April 7.
Quiet on Set: Breaking the Silence is a new episode that will feature interviews with former Nickelodeon stars Drake Bell, Giovonnie Samuels, Bryan Hearne, and Hearne’s mother, Tracey Brown, as announced by the network on March 26.
Journalist Soledad O’Brien will moderate the episode, according to Variety. The episode will expand on conversations ignited by the docuseries, exploring lingering questions and providing further insights from both past and new voices, as noted by Jason Sarlanis, president of TNT, TBS, TruTV, ID & HLN, in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
ID will re-air earlier episodes of Quiet on Set before the latest installment on Sunday. If you prefer to watch sooner, the entire series is available to stream on Max ahead of the new episode.
According to a press release from ID, the series provides unprecedented access to cast members, writers, and crew from Dan Schneider’s popular Nickelodeon shows.
This includes former cast members from All That, such as Giovonnie Samuels, Kyle Sullivan, Bryan Hearne, Katrina Johnson, as well as director Virgil Fabian.
Also featured are writers from The Amanda Show, Jenny Kilgen and Christy Stratton, alongside Alexa Nikolas from Zoey 101, and crew from iCarly, Sam & Cat, Victorious, and even Nickelodeon icon Marc Summers, former host of Double Dare.
Premiering on March 17-18, the docuseries explores multiple shows created by Schneider.
Despite claims of sexualizing children and fostering a toxic work environment, Schneider has denied these accusations.
A representative for Schneider told Variety that everything was monitored by adults and network-approved.
The rep also noted that the shows are still aired worldwide and are enjoyed by both kids and parents today.
Schneider participated in an interview published by The Hollywood Reporter.
Quiet on Set debuted as a four-part series exposing the alleged harmful culture on Nickelodeon’s sets.
Clips from the series have gone viral on TikTok, and 16 million viewers tuned in for the premiere across ID and Max.
Drake Bell, known from Drake & Josh, The Amanda Show, and All That, appears in the third episode of the docuseries, where he speaks out about sexual abuse by former Nickelodeon acting coach Brian Peck.
In 2003, Peck was arrested for sexual abuse, including lewd acts on a child he was coaching. He served 16 months and is now a registered sex offender.
Bell shares in the documentary, “I came here to tell my story. I have never told my story publicly.”
Directed by Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz, the series is produced by Maxine Productions and Sony Pictures Television.
