50% Of Ad Space On Black Television To Be Taken Over By A New Black Technology Company


Black ownership of television stations is particularly low, hovering at less than one percent of all television properties.  An even worse statistic is that almost none of the advertisements on these stations are from Black entities. Take the time to watch any of the popular Black-owned television stations like OWN, TV1, and BET, and you will be hard pressed to find a commercial that will be aired by a Black-owned company.  The inability for Black-owned entities to afford the ad space is a primary barrier. 

The Nubian Network, a new Black technology company, has a plan to change this statistic. The Nubian Network’s strategy is to use group economics to provide high-level marketing opportunities equal to corporate America.  One such strategy is to consume at least 50% of the ad space on Black television stations in targeted regions whose primary audiences are Black consumers. The Nubian Network believes that Black consumers have the greatest motivation to support Black-owned businesses. Based on even the lowest projections, if Black-owned businesses joined forces through The Nubian Network’s marketing program, a vast majority of these business owners would receive exposure unlike anything that they could if they did it alone and could vastly improve their current exposure and more than double their annual income.  

Even in today’s technology age, research has shown that 100,000s of Black business owners still rely on antiquated ways to promote their businesses like requesting that people share their business posting on social media platforms, leaving business cards in local neighborhood businesses, or by asking their local churches to make announcements about their businesses.  The Nubian Network will provide access to this advertising medium and will open the door for many Black-owned businesses.

The Nubian Network markets only high-quality Black businesses through NubianNetwork.us.  The primary function of the website is to provide a unique way for consumers to locate and access the highest quality Black businesses within a certain proximity in 30 seconds or less, but its overall mission is to ensure that these businesses receive its fair share of the advertising space of television commercials, billboards, print advertisements, and online ads.
